Location and Directions

Our home is located on R479 just outside Doolin Village on the west coast of county Clare. Right on the edge of the famous Burren region, this is an ideal base for visiting the Cliffs of Moher (6 km), the Aran Islands, and for touring the Clare, Limerick, and Galway Regions.

From the North:

From Galway take N18 south to Kilcolgan, then turn right on N67 toward Lisdoonvarna and Ennistymon. In Lisdoonvarna follow signs for the Cliffs of Moher on R478, then take a right on R479 for Doolin. Ashbrook Lodge is the first B and B on the right hand side, accessed by a small right turn when you see our sign.

If you opt to take the Coast Road from Ballyvaughan to Doolin, follow R477 and then take a right on R479 for Doolin. In Doolin Village, take a left at Fitz,s Bar, still on R479. Ashbrook Lodge is 1.5km up this road on the left hand side.

From the South:

From Shannon and the South take N18 north toward Ennis and Galway. Just before Ennis follow the exit for N85, Ennistymon. Drive straight through Ennistymon on N67 toward Lisdoonvarna, and just short of Lisdoonvarna turn left on R478 for the Cliffs of Moher, then take a right on R479 for Doolin. Ashbrook Lodge is the first B and B on the right hand side, accesed by a small right turn when you see our sign.

From Kerry via Killimer Ferry, take N67 to Lahinch, then take a left on R478 for the Cliffs of Moher. After the Cliffs of Moher continue on R478 for 6km, then take the main left turn for Doolin on R479. Ashbrook Lodge is the first B and B on the right hand side, accessed by a small right turn when you see our sign.
